GDT: Pens-Flyers - Game 2

He was playing the pass because it was a pass though.

I'll give ya that, no doubt it took a bad bounce off a Flyer, but still when sliding over he's gotta atleast keep that left pad/skate right up to the post. Biron could've played that better, none the less the bounce didn't help.

I'm sorry guys, but it is SO annoying to try and post comments in here when you have so many people with posts like:

wooo! 1-0.

1-0 pens

pens scored

pp goal, crosby

Guys, no offense, BUT WE KNOW! Most of us are watching the game, for those that can't and have to rely on the thread, they'll get the hint when one of us makes a comment (Like NFM did). Sorry, just my rant.

Anyways, what I was gonna say was what an ugly goal. Biron cannot play the pass. I have a feeling the Pens are gonna expose Biron much more than the Caps and Habs could.

There was actually an announcement a while back about doing that in GDTs. Not sure what ever happened to it though.

I really don't get why they don't call Hossa for holding the stick there. When you pin someone's stick between your arm and body, you're holding their stick.

And wow, that's close. That'll be tough to overrule and call a goal.

Yeah I hate the GTD because it's so hard to discuss the game. If you make a comment to incite discussion it's usually bured beneath 2 pages of "PP upcoming", "Woo PP", "Lets do this boys" etc. and probably never seen.

Anyway, back to this game - the Pens seem pretty stiff there. Looks a like a goal. I hope they allow it.

The thing that bothers me is when 30 people announce a goal, PP or something of the like. There are people that aren't able to watch or listen to the game and appreciate the updates, but once someone announces it it would be nice if others didn't follow suit.

I guess being a Designer/draftsman... i am able to see things that the people in the war room can't when dealing with sight lines on angles... that was a such a goal it isn't even funny

 Right.

They made the right call. Like it's been said, it probably was a goal, and there were angles where it looked like a goal, but nothing was conclusive enough to overturn the on-ice ruling.

Of course it was a goal, but with Biron's glove covering the puck thus not allowing the war room to see the white they need overturn the initial ruling, it can't be ruled a goal.

Philly got away with one. That was obviously a goal but since you can't conclusively prove it with a still picture...

Agreed. I'd be pissed if it was Detroit. The glove covered the view but commonsense suggest it crossed the line more than enough in that frame. Absolutely no way it wasn't a goal but insufficient camera angles screwed Pittsburgh. Nevermind.
