Of course it was a goal, but with Biron's glove covering the puck thus not allowing the war room to see the white they need overturn the initial ruling, it can't be ruled a goal.

There was one still shot right before his glove covered the back end of the puck that you can see a gap between the rubber and the red... at that angle turning the camera to a perpendicular position to the puck would only FURTHER increase the gap... ergo... GOAL

You know guys, the more and more I watch the Crosby play, I honestly think that he almost knew that Biron was gonna play the pass and threw it towards the net. I mean, if that was a pass, it has to be the worse pass I've ever seen! It looked to me as if he were throwing it on net just to get a shot in before the 5-3 ended. (I'm pretty sure it already ended by that time though)

If you're referring to the white haze that was around the glove *and* the puck that seemed to be from the zoom in, and it was there before the puck even crossed the line.

I'm a massive Crosby fan but gees, he needs a shave. Looks disgusting.

Since when did the Stanley Cup playoffs become a fashion contest? Crosby is acknowledging tradition and superstition. He obviously could give two s***s what he looks like - his team is winning games!

P.S. That was a goal.

It hurts my eyes man. Anyway, Lidstrom has won three Cups despite shaving during the playoffs.

100% a goal by crosby that was waved off.

IMO, the league needs to change the rule somehow to allow goals that are clearly goals, regardless of whether or not white can be seen between the puck and the line. Who's to say that if a goalie makes a save and his ENTIRE body falls into the net and he shimmies his way out with the puck that we can't PROVE the puck was in. come on. let the goals be goals whether it effects the wings or not...

i know that that would make it a HUGE gray area, and mostly im just venting. but still. they're should be a better way.

alright ive been watching this game (as well as all the playoff games this year and i just am getting sick of seeing Crosby's playoff "dirty Sanchez" Stache. The kid is 21 years old, shouldnt he be able to grow some decent facial hair? or atleast have the decency to shave it off knowing he looks like pedro from Napolean Dynamite? Its humerous, but at a point it just becomes sad...

Versus using more than 3 cameras to cover a game wouldn't hurt.

I have'nt put too much thought into it but, is there no way that some sort of sensory device can be placed either along the goal line, on the post's, inside the puck etc that could accurately tell if the puck has crossed the line, regardless of whether there's bodies on top, gloves in the way etc etc.

Tennis has cyclops to determine if a ball is in or out is there nothing similar that hockey could use? lol
