South Dakota wings fan 7 Report post Posted May 22, 2008 I was wondering if anyone knows where you can get a Stanley Cup 2008 patch for a jersey? I can't find anything on NHL.com, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Anybody have any suggestions?

Cern 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2008 Shame. I was on the verge of getting one of these but apparently even for the Stanley Cup Finals RBK still went with the godawful heat-printed single-piece leatherette for the SC patch. Plus it looks really weird having the logo crammed into the same space as the C/A patch - they should have put it on the shoulder instead.

Go to NHL.com's shop and use the jersey customization page, you get image previews of what it'll look like. The C/A is reduced to about half-size and smushed in to the left of the SC patch. Which means that even if you DO get this patch on its own, it's pointless to sew it on in its proper place if you have a jersey that already has a C/A. Why they didn't just put it on the shoulder I have no idea.

It has to do with the shape of the new jersey and the awkward placement of our logo...same reason Nick's "C" is offset
Cern 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2008 It has to do with the shape of the new jersey and the awkward placement of our logo...same reason Nick's "C" is offset But it's not like the shape of the EDGE jersey dosen't allow for secondary logos on the shoulders. It works for the vast majority of the NHL's jerseys, why is it suddenly implausible for a one-off event for a jersey that has no secondary logos? Heck, when the Rangers played this years Hall of Fame inductee game they had the HoF patches on the shoulders.
