While playing NHL 08, I happen to be lucky enough to get to play the Pens when? Oh thats right the Stanley Cup Finals!

Fast forward to game 7 because I play on the high skill level

Well anyway, 1st period, Homer destroyed Crosby with a center ice hit which got the result of "Injured-Out for the season" message

So 3rd period comes along, 4-4 is the score. 31 seconds left. Lidstrom comes from center ice with a all or nothing slapshot, and scores from center ice.

That kind of made the pain go away temporarily

That happened once to me too with Lidstrom on the PK from the faceoff circle in my own zone. Was pretty funny.

It was online, the kid must have been pissed.

I believe Lidstrom is the only player who can consistently score from center ice.. lol.. i do it all the time in NHL 08 online.. and he is the only one i can do it with haha..

She was joking about it before the game asking if I was sure I wanted her to be around, and I said nah its not you, its just where we sit on the couch...you know...playing that superstitious crap...

She is getting shipped off to her parents house tomorrow. Serious. Watch. They WILL win.

I would have said something to the effect of well are you single? But I realized you are an Obama supporter....

360. This is the first time I really played a full season. I usually see the 1-3 or 2-4 weeks out. But maybe because it was the finals? I don't know...

I beat the Pens on '93 for Sega Genesis. Made Larry Murphy's head bleed twice, and Paul Ysebaert had a hat trick. Played Probie a lot in the third to try and make a Penguin head bleed via massive beatdown, but no takers unfortunately.

You know, the crazy thing is, when I had my 360 I wound up with a Wings-Pens finals too. Unfortunately I had to sell off the XBox before I got around to deciding the series.

I remember playing 2 player on this, and turning off the penalties. I'd take a RW and PLOW into the goalie while my buddy took a slap shot from the blue line. I'd knock the goalie into the next time zone while the puck went in...
