Lids could be a possibility but the rest should go off in the sunset with their 5! count em after this year 5 rings (besides Cheli but who knows he might stick around till he hits 5 !)

No, it refers to the positive correlation between the point total in the final year of his contract and the cap number in the subsequent contract extension. Hence, my 'businessman' comment.

Sorry if I have re-hashed anybody's combos, haven't really read this thread at all.

Mine are going with the assumptions that Dallas Drake retires and Mark Hartigan finds an opportunity elsewhere for playing time (I am assuming he is a free agent, please correct me if I am wrong).

Does anyone else remember home opener last season on versus, when eddie olzchek made the comment of "spread the wealth sorta speak" when he was talking about splitting up datsyuk and zetterberg. How sweet is it now that you can say part of that super star wealth is now hossa, and franzen.
