Heard rumors, bit doubtful though, that he will go back to sweden and play for Skellefteå AIK in the swedish elite league... i dont wanna believe them, wasn't he like top ranked skater prospect in the wings system?

If he has that attitude he will never make the roster.

I agree that it is doubtful that he will make the Roster this year as we are a bit thick on D, but he still has a shot if he comes into training camp and plays really well. Babcock makes the decision on this so Ericsson should at least give a go. Especially with the way Babcock raved about him last season.

Now if he has other reasons (family for instance) to head back then that is another thing.

Seem like it was a highly doubtful rumor after all, he is in skellefteå right now where his brother is playing

GM of SAIK said something like:

"We had an interesting person visitng Skellefteå today"

"A player which we hope to choose us instead of the "big dragons" (detroit in this case)

Players from nhl and other leagues in europe doesn't usually come to town, meet the GM and players before signing a contract.. so it's suspicious but highly doubtful... that's all folks... i think we should be calm.
