Doggy 130 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 I'd go with 1b. I think he will, they always hated him. Until he he returns to his old power forward form, they wont cheer him. And if they do, they are the most two faced fans in the NHL. Living in Calgary, they hate everyone in the NW and I've had a ton of people say they'd never cheer for Bertuzzi, Naslund, Gaborik, Smyth, etc. if they played for Calgary. It's gonna be fun watching them change there tune next year Naslund was top 5 in the league during that time. For a significant portion he was the best in the league. You couldn't say that about Bertuzzi.

That is true, but Bertuzzi's great play along with his physical play, he was just so dominant. Poor Vancouver, had 2 top 15 forwards in the NHL on the same line, and now all they have are 2 sisters. Cern 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 I'm in Calgary, so they were covering this pick-up quite a bit on The Fan, and most of the people that called in seems to actually approve of it. They were really quite infaturated with the idea that this was a 'second chance' for Bertuzzi. The whole buisness with Bert was in 2003, right? Why is it now, five years and four cross-country moves later, that this is his 'second chance'? How many chances does a guy get before it becomes painfully obvious to EVERYone that he's a laughably empty shell of what he once was? Normally I have a ton of respect for Iginla but the faith he places on Bert sets him back a notch in my books. He can't score and I can name of plenty of much better agitators out there in the league. f***, Sutter should have made a push to get Gary Roberts back on the Flames. Got rid of of Cloutier, brought in Luongo. Brought in Pyatt, Mitchell, drafted Bourdon (RIP) and Bieksa. I dont know why Vancouver fired him to be honest, Gillis isnt much better. ZigZagYourTorso 8 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 I honestly think they got him at a pretty good deal. I don't hate Bertuzzi. And if we didn't sign Hossa...which I still get all giggly about everytime I remind myself! Then I honestly would not have minded having him back...especially at that deal.
