Zion 93 Report post Posted August 25, 2008 You guys need to stop wetting yourself over Hossa... Datsyuk and Zetterberg are way better than he is, and they have the cup rings to prove it. You need to shut your internet mouth. My jaw hit the floor when we re-signed Stuart, so you can imagine my surprise when we got MARIAN. *******. HOSSA. I've said it before: There were times this past season where I had to sit back, take a breath, and realize that we (my wife and I) were watching something truly amazing during the regular season (I was being critical of the team)... and it made the experience that much more fun to watch. This season? This season simply cannot start soon enough...

OsGOD 3 Report post Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) It's from Hockeytown Authentics. Even so... The numbering looks off... at least if that was an Adult one it is. Red Wings numbering is more elongated and less square as that one is showing... might also be the angle but the numbering does not look like the traditional Red Wings. how is that not the redwings lettering? Please see above If anyone actually owns a kirk maltby jersey... I know its a stretch to find someone with one... could you please take a picture of the back so we can compare the 8 and the 1? thanks Edited August 26, 2008 by OsGOD
chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted August 26, 2008 The difference, I suppose, is that Hossa produced with a terrible team (the Thrashers) for several years; Fedorov has yet to produce at all with a non all-star cast around him. Hossa was with Atlanta for only 3 years. During 2 of the 3 he was well over a point a game 1.15 and 1.21 and was +17 and +18. The 3rd year (last year) he was at 0.93 pts/game and -14. So to say he "produced with a terrible team (the Thrashers) for several years" is plain old wrong. He produced 2 out of 3 years. The third year his offense dropped off significantly and his defense was terrible. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. I think Hossa is extremely talented and will thrive on the Wings but people are getting carried away. He has had some bad regular seasons and some terrible playoffs before last year. He is not superman.

It looks like the preseason Jersey. Remeber that the lettering on the training camp Jerseys are more square. The lettering is exact, the numbers are smaller because it is a replica. For die-hard Red Wings fans, you guys are sure having a hell of a time realizing that it is exactly how any other replica would look. OsGOD 3 Report post Posted September 25, 2008 (edited) It looks like the preseason Jersey. Remeber that the lettering on the training camp Jerseys are more square. Nope preseason jerseys are flatter lettering (no arc in the name) and full size numbering: The off-season really seams to bring out the anal retentive nerds on this board I guess. The lettering is exact, the numbers are smaller because it is a replica. For die-hard Red Wings fans, you guys are sure having a hell of a time realizing that it is exactly how any other replica would look. (nothing against you 'chrisdetroit') Funny how none of my other replicas looks that far off in the number category... Then again yes i am anal because when i collect things i tend to want them to look right. Yeah thats right you never find a pink or blue jersey in my collection... why? because sometimes jerseys (and lettering) are just wrong... replica or not. Looky what i found... A replica... and the lettering does look different: https://www.coolhockey.com/cart/item_detail...eim&id=1891 Edited September 25, 2008 by OsGOD

Shutemdown 23 Report post Posted September 25, 2008 any one? does yours say 18..this guy is relaly trying to tell me Hossa is 18 Don't buy it!! I watched Hossa play last night, and he is definately #81. I was also wearing my Hossa jersey t-shirt, which sports the #81. I would inform this guy that he's crazy and let him know that Hossa is, in fact, wearing the number 81. He's either really high or just trying to make bank off of stupid people... Don't buy it!
