superdeluxe 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 I hope this is okay to post here. Are there any sport bars or bars that carry NHL center ice? I know we had some folks from Seattle/pierce county here. Give me some help NW wing fans! otto
wingschamps 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 Oh yea, I'm moving up to Bellingham in a couple weeks. I'm getting worried as to how I'm gonna watch my Wings.
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 Wouldn't it be cheaper to get your own Center Ice than to always be driving out to a bar?
Amberoonie 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 Being that the Seattle area has a wealth of hockey fans, it's surprising how hard it is to find a decent bar with Center Ice, let alone one willing to play any hockey games in general. I'm actually down in the Vancouver/Portland area and have similar issues. I've yet to find anyone here who plays games on a regular basis, but will continue to look up North as well. I'm over here in Spokane suprisinly I've found a few places here that have direct TV and I can get all the wings games there I want. I just walk in with my Lids jersey and they know what channel to change it to lol. If you're ever over here post and let me know I can take you to some spots for a good wings game. T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 Oh yea, I'm moving up to Bellingham in a couple weeks. I'm getting worried as to how I'm gonna watch my Wings. Bellingham has the Quarterback Pub in Sehome Village, by REI and Starbucks (what else would you expect), on the edge of campus. Welcome to town> Maybe i'll see you at the rink, riding on Galbraith, white water paddlin on the Noocksack, or boardin at Baker.
bkeck 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 There's a ton of Michigan ex-pats here in Seattle, but I can't find anyplace in the city to watch Det. sports. The only bright side is that you'll still get HNIC being close to B.C.

That video is crazy. Why moving from Miami to Bellingham? Goin to college at WWU. My mom lives in seattle, so that's how I found the place. My mom lives in seattle, so that's how I found the place. Yeah they show the Wings. Center Ice doesn't get all the playoffs, so I have to go there sometimes for playoff games. Wow, Bellingham is about as different from Miami as you can get. WWU has traditionally had a good club team (no NCAA Hockey around here). I've seen them put up over 75 shots on goal against the Huskies, and my buddy scored 5 goals in one night. Good luck with your move.

superdeluxe 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 So you can get center ice at a pub in bellingham, but I can't get one bar in a city of 200k people? And yes, I just figured out Bellingham is pretty much a suburb of Vancouver lol.
Amberoonie 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 And yes, I just figured out Bellingham is pretty much a suburb of Vancouver lol. No it's not. It's 50 miles away in Washington state.
superdeluxe 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 I like the idea of being served.. Oh..the Ram up here is a no go too, just got this: Dear Otto, The NHL is a package that we have carried as recently as 3 years ago but have never been able to get enough guests to come in to make it worth the substantial expense. At this time we do not carry it, but we are open to adding it if there was enough interest. Thanks, Mark Patterson Ram Restaurant & Brewery
wingschamps 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 Heck - just purchase Center Ice, & watch @ home...Cheapest way to go...Beer/nachos are a fraction of the cost...No extra $$$ spent on gas...No lines @ the bathrooms...No risk of getting a DUI...Is any of this sinking in? I would, but I'm in a dorm room. If I'm able to, I'm going to get CI online, but when I try now, it says my region doesn't support it or something like that. Hopefully it works out. Oh no, I'm still in Miami now. I'm sure it'll work in Bellingham, but i just don't trust computers.
