NHL.com -- You're up for the Hall of Fame in 2009. Do you think about it? This could be a great class, one that rivals the one that just went in with you, Luc Robitaille, Brian Leetch, Brett Hull all eligible. Do you let your mind wander to that?

Yzerman -- "No. You know, of course I'd love to be in the Hall of Fame, but we'll see. It's not something I spend a lot of time thinking about."

That is a nice Hall of Fame class. Three being Wings who all played on the same line for a while.

You're right HE can't say that, but again that is what makes him Stevie Y, other players (not even assholes or arrogant players) would have said, "you know maybe it is me, but I think it is out of respect!"

But not Stevie, he must have some ego problems or something, this guy is way too humble!! But that is just part of his greatness and legend.

He was always passing off recongnition, and that night the fans let him know it was ALL about him...

What a horridly stupid question to ask him. I mean what's there for him to think about. It's not like he's coming back to get another cup or boost a few stats... He's done all that will be considered in the HoF. He'll either get in or not (and he will get in).
