up2here 41 Report post Posted October 7, 2008 I wonder if Don Cherry still stands behind that "Brule is better than Crosby" argument.
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted October 7, 2008 http://oilers.nhl.com/team/app/?service=pa...rticleid=385269 I'm pretty sure Cherry doesn't stand behind the argument still. He probably said it because Brule was hanging tough in the ever so challenging WHL, while Crosby was racking up points in the weakest CHL league.

up2here 41 Report post Posted October 7, 2008 Hey man, the Q is not that bad, well ok maybe it is! Since 2000 the "Q" has won as many Memorial Cups as the OHL. It the most offensive minded of the 3 leagues but the leagues are so cyclical its hard to define who is the "worst".

It the most offensive minded of the 3 leagues but the leagues are so cyclical its hard to define who is the "worst". I only jest because I was able to catch quite a few Lewiston games, and although they were entertaining as all hell, other than Picard they had very few skilled players and a bunch of young guys who threw knuckles. I move from the area to Manchester NH (WOW the LA Kings have good talent in the AHL, not great but good) and the very next year they win it all. I know nothing in my first post let you in on that information, but I was mainly just kidding around, as I have a soft spot for the Q and Lewiston specifically. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 8, 2008 Dont underestimate the Q boys, there are alot of good tough players in there. The WHL is very tough as well, but I'd take the Q over it, probably due tot the fact I lived in an atlantic province for so long. Back to Brule haha, it's a shame that what could've been a great career has fallen to shambles, I still like the kid and wish him well.

MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) Brule hasn't been the same since he got hurt badly (broken sternum, I think) when he was 18. Edited October 8, 2008 by MacK_Attack
