SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 The sky is falling eh? Guess I better stay indoors then. What if the sky falls and crashes on my roof though? That wouldn't be good! LOL at FedorovGurl's chicken pic.
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Just so I'm clear, I'm a spoiled brat for wanting to see my team do well? Is that right? So I'm a bandwagonner now too? Is the implication I dont' stick with them through thick or thin? I just want to be clear.
Pavel Hossyukstrom 2 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 You must be talking about the economy. Wings are fine. Do I expect us to go 10-0 every year no. We have injuries that are bottling up our reserves right now. And we beat a very good and fiesty Rags team without Z and Stu. It's obvious we need those guys otherwise this game wasn't even close. DyingAlive 27 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 the sky is falling here and somewhere else... Haha, Duck Guy has the right to be claiming the sky is falling. Not the Wings
Chunkylover 26 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 No, you're spoiled for expecting the Wings to dominate but never appreciating it when they do. I'm not too sure I agree with that response. It's more like I as the customer demand perfection. That's not too much to ask. How pissed do you get when the checkout lady at Meijer or Wal-Mart gives you a bad attitude? Although it is right to be patient in troubling times and complimentary in good times, which most everyone is doing, it would be foolish though to come on a message board, talk about the recent games, and deny they are disorganized. Dawgs 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Just because someone is critical of the teams play, it doesnt mean they are shouting the sky is falling. By some of your posts we should ignore bad play and losses and give them a golf clap when they play well and win. Thats ridiculous. This is sport and everything is in play the day after a game. Theres a catch-22 here. If your critical after a loss your Chicken Little and if your euphoric after a win your a bandwagon fan. Give me a break. I call em as I see em, good or bad. auxlepli 17 Report post Posted October 24, 2008 I think coach Mike Babcock could be chicken little, at the very least he's not very appreciative of last night's winning performance, which was dominant for nearly two periods. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=team...ype=team_report “As a group, we have to be better,” Babcock said. “You want to feel good about how you’re playing. Hopefully we can take a step defensively, because we’re giving up way too much.” Brian Rafalski seems pretty critical of his team too. “All the games have been close. We’ve been in all these situations throughout the playoffs last year, so everyone knows what to do. Maybe take the game more to them instead of sit back and watch.”
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted October 24, 2008 I have only missed the Carolina and Blues games and the other three games Detroit did not look very good. I for one am very happy to be 3-1-1. I have very high expectations of this team and expect them to be dominant in 90% of their games. Having said that, I am not very surprised about the slow start with the different line combos and I'm sure there are some players "sqeezing the stick too tight" with the knowledge that they are the defending cup champions.
