I read on a habs forum that grabhovski gave price the butt end of his stick after price shoved him and apparently even don cherry pointed it out after the game. If cherry pointed out something bad about the leafs then it must have happened. Cherry then went on to say he has a real poor work ethic and thats why the habs shipped him to the leafs and that the leafs will eventually get sick of him too.

When did he say that? He never said that in the post-game where he showed the butt-end.

I gotta say, I've never liked Montreal. Most fans from what I've seen are all cocky and think they deserve the Cup every year, and that every player born in Quebec wants to play for them and if they don't, they're booed (Briere or Lecavelier)

The guy looks like he has some skills, though. A standout on a mediocre Leafs team.

The hit was totally bush, and he deserves a longer suspension. Van Ryn was a pleasant surprise on the Leafs, picking up some of the slack from when McCabe left.

I watched the game and Cherry did show and comment on the butt end to Price, but this was after Price punched him in the back of the head. Still, butt-ending a goalie in the chest is not going to hurt that much, is it?

I don't remember hearing him say he had a bad work ethic, though....

i think he should get a 10 game suspension..starting when van ryn plays again, and should just sit minus pay as long as van ryn is out. That is how i think all cheap hits like that should be punished. Suspensions that start when the injured player returns to playing.

Living near Montreal myself (Laval), I couldn't agree more with you. They will also brag the "we have 24 cups" phrase once someone mention their recent era of mediocrity. And don't forget the riot in last year's playoffs.

On Kostopoulos, I knew he would have 3 games suspension.
