The Secret 304 Report post Posted November 11, 2008 This Week1 - San Jose Sharks (13-3) No need to worry about a relatively slow start from Joe Thornton when the Sharks are getting All-Star production out of Ryane Clowe. Key Injuries: G Evgeni Nabokov (lower body), RW Jonathan Cheechoo (upper body). This Week6 - Detroit Red Wings (9-2-2) Getting the best out of Marian Hossa, who leads the team in points (17), plus-minus (plus-9) and is tied for the team lead in goals (8). Key Injuries: LW Johan Franzen (knee). http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/feature/?fi...topRelated_main I have to agree that to date the Sharks are the team to beat... I don't agree with their rankings for 2 - 6 though. Hossa has been our main man and I think like the Sharks we need our secondary troops to start chipping like Ryan Clowe! NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted November 11, 2008 Keep in mind that weekly updated power rankings generally weigh the most recent weeks' play very highly. The Red Wings only played 1 game, while the Blackhawks have won their past 4 dominating in 3 of those....hence the high rating. Nothing to fret about. Lastly, I agree the Sharks are the deserved #1 right now. They look great!

Zion 93 Report post Posted November 11, 2008 My wife loves the Sharks, and I've had a lot of fun watching Joe Pavelski and Ryane Clowe play and develop. Look out for Devon Setoguchi, also. They have some pretty good young kids. This is a team that brought up Kipper, Toskala and Nabokov up through their goaltending farm. They still won't get my respect, as they have yet to have a REALLY successful playoffs (save for their one WCF visit), but the same was said about us in the early 90's. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 11, 2008 I agree with Pierre, Ryane Clowe is a monster. It was such a rush getting to play hockey with him two years ago, the guy is massive. He's finally playing up to his potential, barring injury, I would'nt be surprised if he scores 30.
