Guess Who I Met at Last Nights Game?

So, is the guy you work with not a hockey fan? Or did he not know these were going to be in the shangri la room? All I can say is wow! I do have to agree though, that being able to just talk to Kenny and Stevie like human beings is far cooler than trying to go through the awkward moment of getting a picture or an autograph, even though a pic would be good proof that it actually happened. Not that I am doubting, just very jealous.

Hahaha! Trust me, even though I know it might have killed a bit of the 'cool' moment, if I had a camera on me I would have asked for one. I was even going to tell him, "Sorry Steve. I have to ask for a picture or my wife will brand me a liar".

If $2500 is all it takes to do that again, I would be all over it.

In fact, it would be awesome if the members here could join forces to have an event like this.

If it allows you access to Illitch's suite along with meeting Stevie and Kenny, it would totally be worth doing.

It would also be cool to do that 4-on-4 hockey against Holland, Kocur, Redmond and a few other former wings. That'd be a riot!

"Hi guys, I'm Steve"

It's Common Courtesy for Stars/Celebs/Famous People to introduce themselves when meeting "Fans"

I forget what Book it was, pretty sure it was a wrestler's But Some Famous guy, Probably a Wrestler (Flair? Bret Hart?) Shook hands with somebody, the Other Guy said, "Hi I'm Greg" or whatever, and Ric Flair or whoever just shook his hand and said "Hi" back.

Turns out that the guy didn't recognize Flair or had never heard of him, And was embarrassed for not knowing somebody that he felt he Should have known. So After that, in Order not to Embarrass anybody that he meets, He'd always introduce himself with "Hi, I'm Ric"

Wich Makes a lot of sense. I mean, he doens't know how much you like hockey, you could jsut be someone from the Casino watching your first game, you might have jsut started watching hockey a year ago, and wouldn't recognize him by his face. So In order to not make you Look like an idiot, in case you don't recognize him, He'll Intro himself as "Hi I'm Steve"

I'm not taking anything awat from it, I'm jsut saying it's a common courtesy that most famous people that give a rats ass about fans do. It does show that he has that class and humility, and to sit there and take the time to talk to you two for 10 mins Is going out of his way to do something special for you.

Great Read Great Story

I was expecting something like you know who i saw? Kid rock

Or something like that....Lucky SOB
