redhot 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Lilja did some good things and some bad things, but he's an expert on fumbling with the puck, liability, that's for sure You should at least stand up for your countryman, shush. Maybe watching the game in your time zone clouds your mind? Great game. I'm really humbled by the hardwork of these boys. Rest well, and complete the trip in 3:0! Vladiator 116 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Another solid game tonight. The D is playing well and the 3rd and 4th lines are playing well as well. Conks played solid and Koper is spawning from Homer and Franzen's play in front of the net.

FunkedUp 29 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 I was looking for him to get into another fight, but after seeing that punch that he dropped Souray with, we might not ever see Lilja find a willing opponent ever again. Lilja vs. Lucic next Saturday. Just wait...
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Lilja vs. Lucic next Saturday. Just wait... Lucic backed down tonight several times from Laraque, so what makes you think he'll have the balls to go with Lilja after what happened to Souray? He's young enough to be Lilja's son or his newspaper boy.

Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Overall a very satisfying game. But seriously, if someone would have asked me the three least likely players to get on the score board I would have said: Lebda, Lilja, and Maltby.

Doggy 130 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Good game! only player i didn't like much was Franzen, totally invisible.. he must still be feeling a bit from the injury... and lilja with that bad turnover ála ducks conference final 07 Invisible on the scoresheet maybe. Is that your basis for this post? Because he was actually pretty good.
DyingAlive 27 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Good game to watch. Malts with the goal in the begining was great. Then Lebda scoring! Haha, what a night. Huds had a rocket as well. Good game boys!
Guest mindfly Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Marian Hossa with 15:47 Totalt ice time... Kopecky had 12:20 and Maltby 13:07.. was hossa not feeling well?
The Mule 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Great game from the boys in red and white. I wasn't able to watch the majority of it, as I was playing in a poker tournament last night (things didn't go so well), but I caught bits and pieces here and there, and it seemed like we put out an impressive enough effort. Nice to see Lebda and Lilja get on the scoreboard and positively influence the outcome. They were both much better than usual (though Lebs has improved slightly lately, and Lilja has been quite good), and for Maltby to net another tally. Also, how about Ty ******* Conklin? Does anyone else feel comfortable as hell knowing Conk Block is going to be between the pipes? Nothing against Ozzie, but Conks has been great, so we should ride the hot hand. Here's to hoping we can rest up and finish this mini road trip with a perfect record.

He's young enough to be Lilja's son or his newspaper boy. Yeah, what would Lucic be thinking to drop them with Lilja, who customarily gets in two wrestling matches a season when he wouldn't go with the best fighter in the NHL on the road and would rather let them stew while he stays on the ice and scores goals. He would be insane to fight someone with the pugilistic skills of Andreas Lilja
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Good game, just watched it. Lilja is a beast,Lebda is such a sniper & Hudler's amazing. Great to see Filppula with +3 (would've been +4 with a better luck, but wasn't on ice when Dats scored) and an assist. Let's sweep the Western Canada road trip. Guest Four Report post Posted November 23, 2008 I was watching clips at a time of this game last night, from what I saw, we played pretty damn well. I had no worries with Conklin in net. Seems every line produced this game.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Z is really flying out there but he doesnt score too much, if he's lucky he gets an assisst or something.. his hard work and effort should results in better stats imo

FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 He flipped Dats the pass and went right off of the ice? Yeah, that's how it looked to me. He was +2 after the first two goals & then he was on the ice when Hossa scored. No + for the Dats goal,I think it was Franzen who got it instead...?
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted November 23, 2008 Yes. Very true, but I'm afraid that Lilja does not carry the reputation that Laraque does... Of course not. That wrestling match didn't result so kindly to Sheldon Souray's face. You're delusional. Laraque would murder Lilja in a fight. Lilja gets in like two fights a year and wrestles, while Laraque is a proven warrior and fights the leagues best on a consistent basis.
