And Sharks tie it.

******* Sharks get another 2 pts. f***

They have such a weak division, sad.

Indeed, they now have 16 points from division games out of a possible 20 points, they lost to Anaheim and Phoenix. Leading the league with 52 points, with a 6 point lead over Boston, who is second. So 30% of their points are from Anaheim, Phoenix, L.A., and Dallas.

San Jose GP-30 W-25 L-3 OTL-2 PTS-52

Anaheim GP-31 W-17 L-11 OTL-3 PTS-37

Phoenix GP-30 W-14 L-13 OTL-3 PTS-31

Los Angeles GP-29 W-13 L-12 OTL-4 PTS-30

Dallas GP-29 W-11 L-14 OTL-4 PTS-26

Central is MUCH worse. Thing is, Sharks are hungry and show effort every game. Red Wings sucks at the moment.

The Hawks are fourth in the conference and we've beaten them twice. Also they have played fewer games than the Canucks and have the same amount of points. And the Preds are in seventh.

The Sharks have three out of four teams that are not in a playoff spot. Their division is playing much worse.

I only disagree with the first sentence. The rest, in bold, is entirely true. And this "moment" for the Wings is dragging toward half a season of sucking.

They used to say that about the wings too...

I agree here, except that I thought the sharks didnt look too interested last night

Here's hoping to the wings taking advantage of the Sharks playing 3 games in 4 nights!!

Except when we did dominate the division we lost to the Oilers in the first round. Last year we got points against the best of the best and were terrible in our own division.

True that! But not just the oilers, right?:P

Bad Division? I hated when people would say this about Detroit. As much as I hate them, The Blues, Hawks and Preds would always come out with everything they got, every night trying to beat us. That is no different with Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Anaheim, these are teams with a ton of heart, and they dont give away easy points.

Honestly, if Ersberg doesnt get hurt last night, the Sharks probably would've lost.

Using that argument is a really bad choice, considering most of the time its only us and the preds making the playoffs, as opposed to the ducks, sharks, and stars being regular playoff teams.

We are notorious for having a weaker division often, and we on here despise when someone comes on here and uses that excuse for our team playing well, I don't see why now we are entitled to use it against the Sharks when they are simply playing phenomenal hockey.

Agreed.

However, I also agree that the Sharks didn't play their best game last night. I really thought the Kings were gonna walk away with the win because they went down 2-0 early in the game and even though the Sharks always come back and win it, they had alot of problems in the defensive zone because L.A. was just alot more agressive then S.J. was. Seemed like the Kings wanted the win more and just got beaten in the shootout by a more talented team.

I'm not talking about the past. I'm talking about the here and now.

I get mad when they use the "Central Sucks!" speech against us when WE DONT GET MANY POINTS FROM OUR OWN DIVISION. Last year we downright sucked in the Central and people said our record was padded. It wasn't. In 06 it probably was.

My point is when you have a great record against your own rotten division then yes you should consider it padding. Plain and simple.

I guess the true test will be the upcoming game, but I am willing to bet the Sharks are not just riding their "rotten division"
