I'm sad to see the state that these forums have devolved to. It seems to me that most of those who were actually interested in supporting and appreciating the team rather than merely bashing it, and those who were actually interested in having intelligent discussion rather than simply yelling their opinions about what was wrong with the organization, have hit the road. Sadly, it seems last season's Cup win brought a flood of people to this board who, having tasted victory, are now angered and indignant when presented with anything less than perfection. I know I can be caustic in my own way, and that I'm certainly no more perfect than the next guy, but I feel sad for those who still look for intelligent discussion on these boards and instead find themselves turned off by the constant flood of nonsense. But maybe it's just me.

You are a character man, I mean your inability to comprehend pretty much anything you don't understand or agree with is beyond me -- and you do it again in this last comment .

I mean you claim that ppl like you are interested in supporting the team, and guys like me are only interested in bashing it. First of all I would love to know who decided you were the holy one here who dictated who supports and who bashes the team. I love the Red Wings, and I will be damned if someone who cannot decipher dmen from forwards on a list of pretty big names what my intentions are.

Secondly -- you bring up the idea of intelligent discussion. This is incrediblly ironic, especially coming from you. Have you read this post, seen the numbers - real data - that I have used in stating my point. I mean give me a break, I don't see you, or anyone else backing your arguments up with anything other then hot air and idealism.

No these boards have went to hell. I've been mostly reading since 2002 and I have never seen it this bad.

I use to read these boards to hear these guys and others discuss hockey. Now there are just a ton of tools calling each other names and you really have to work hard to find any piece of useful information.

People are complaining about how bad the Wings are after winning the cup, but I think these boards are the main casualty.

Man, isn't that the truth. Guys who bash, nonstop, everyone from Kenny to Babs to all the players and never have realistic solutions; never look at cap space, current needs, or waivers. It is getting so that it is not much more than internet tough guys telling others how stupid they are and they haven't liked/played hockey as long as they have. Too bad, it seems the dialog has been lowered this season especially.
