Phazon 24 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Forwards Zetterberg/Backstrom/Franzen (wings + caps domination) Sedin/Sedin/Alfredsson (sedins + alfy) Huselius/Sundin/Holmstrom (mix of styles) Loui Eriksson/Berglund/Pahlsson (big and gritty) There is no clear 1 line, but four solid lines instead. Roll them all. Subs Brunnstrom/Omark/Murray Defensemen Lidstrom-Kronwall Edler-Enstrom Oduya(doing great in devils)- Ohlund Hedman Subs Jonsson/Stralman Very offensive D, I like it. Goaltenders Lundqvist/Ersberg/Markstrom Lets hope Lundqvist isnt injured. Top place projection: Top3 What do you think? Guest mindfly Report post Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Not a single right-handed dman (except strålman though).. that's not good if you want a fast and solid pp and better flow overall.. I also would place Holmqvist over Markström, it's OS and he's too young an inexperienced.. maybe i could also see kim johnsson on the D... Edler was brutal in canada last world championship but he has improoved in nucks this season i agree... but is it enough? kozac 10 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Holy crap, I didn't know that Johnny Oduya was Swedish! And I'm supposed to be somewhat of a Devils fan, shows how much I know... Looks like a solid lineup, Doug Murray should definitely be considered.
up2here 41 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 I would assume that Mattias Weinhandl and Tony Martensson would be on the team, theyre both playing in the Russian Super League and finished 1-2 in scoring in the Swedish league last year.

I disagree at least on Weinhandl who has played plenty of games on small ice. Both played for Sweden at the last World Championships. Guest mindfly Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Weinhandl and Mårtensson might play if the nhl players say no or have injuries etc.
Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Lidstrom - Jonsson Kronwall - Ohlund Those are the top 2 pairs I'd use. Jonsson's strong offensive ability with Lidstrom's strong defensive (well, and offensive) ability. Kronwall's strong offensive ability and hitting with Ohlund's D. Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Seriously Sundin? Don't you guys think that he is a little old and by watching Canucks games that he is out of shape? I think that this is a solid team and should be medal favorites along with Canada and Russia. Naslund > Sundin IMO Edited February 19, 2009 by Never_Retire_Steve
