You'd think that someone so knowledgeable in Sergei's intent would at least know how to spell his name. Federov left because he wanted to make a name for himself outside of Detroit. In Detroit, Federov would never be the center of attention and he knew that. Federov left not for money, but to try and glorify his name outside of Detroit. All prospects are told early on that if they have a Y in their name and they make it to the big club, they must legally change their name. Tomas Kopeckie coming soon to a jersey near you.
