Here are the games today, in bold the two games that should be the most watched/highly contested (times EST):

Ottawa @ Carolina, 7PM, TSN2/FSS

Florida @ Buffalo, 7PM, FSFL/MSG

Minnesota @ NY Isles, 7PM, FSNO/MSG+

Calgary @ Pittsburgh, 7:30PM, TSN/NHLN

San Jose @ Chicago, 8:30PM, CSBA/CSNC

Anaheim @ Colorado, 9PM, FSPT/ALT

At stake:

- Wings clinch Central w/Chicago loss in regulation

- Pittsburgh and Carolina battling for that 5th spot in the East in their own respective games

- 3 points separate the 7th and 11th seed in the West. Minnesota, playing today, can't afford to lose, Anaheim is in 8th and playing today

- Florida could tie Montreal in points for the 8th spot (but more games played means they get 9th) with a win

- Isles look to continue their historic run for Tavares and possibly help Minnesota stay in the playoff hunt

- San Jose could take back the #1 spot with a Win/OTL/SOL

Ottawa @ Carolina

I don't really care about who wins this, but I suppose I'll go for Carolina in this since there's really no chance Ottawa could sneak into the playoffs.

Florida @ Buffalo

I'd like to see the Sabres make it to the playoffs, but again that is doubtful, so I go for Florida. I'd rather they make it in than Montreal.

Minnesota @ NY Isles

I don't care.

Calgary @ Pittsburgh

I normally cheer for the Western Conference in these matchups, but I want the Flames to lose for beating us the other night.

San Jose @ Chicago

Go Hawks! The Sharks have a lot of injuries and Marleau is a healthy scratch to be with his expecting wife. I still think they can easily beat the Hawks, though.

Anaheim @ Colorado

I'd like to see Anaheim make it so we can get a rematch (as long as we win) so I'm for them tonight.

Calgary/Pittsburgh on.

Bob Mac criticizing Phaneuf saying he needs to be more of a defensive style defenseman, and giving kudos to Lids for making that slap pass to Malts for the breakaway that he didn't score on.

TSN's panel discusses whose had a better season between Crosby and Parise: Dreger, McKenzie, and Jones all say Parise.

Should Paul Kariya be retired in Anaheim: Jones says yes, Dreger says no, McKenzie says yes.

And the [funny, I call it] designations for Joe Sakic (Captain Canada, Captain Clutch, or Captain Consistency):

Mckenzie says Captain Clutch, Jones says Captain Consistency, Dreger says Captain Clutch.

One thing I've noticed so far before I switch over to the Sharks/Hawks game is the Pens are extremely aggressive on the forecheck and are finishing checks, preventing opponents from just zipping down the ice. The latter effect is something I've badly wanted to see again from the Wings.. I've fumed at times over how not finishing a check has then resulted in that player coming down the ice and then contributing to a goal.

Total chaos in front of Nabokov with the puck flying all over the place, off the post, then to (someone) for an easy rebound.

Hawks couldn't clear it for the entire kill and the Bulin wall could only stop so many in such short time. They peppered him with shots and it was only a matter of time if they couldn't clear the zone.
