C-Dub 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2009 Any idea if Game 3 will be on NHL Network? I have DirecTV in Dallas and they picked up the feed from FSN-D for Saturdays game. Neither the NHL nor NHLNetwork website indicated that they would do this. Any idea if it will happen again? I will be in class from 7-8:30-9p and would love to watch the recording of it but I am not getting my hopes up. Why Versus would not show the defending Stanley Cup champion is just crazy.... GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted April 21, 2009 As far as I know, they're not showing a damn thing. Kind of sad how a channel that calls itself the NHL network has only shown one playoff game. In the regular season they were showing at least 3 games a week. I guess Versus takes over the exclusive coverage, however, those idiots are only content with showing the Pens series, so it doesn't really help the Wings or anyone else to be playing at the same time as them. God forbid your team playing at the same time as Cindy Crosby. You'll basically have to watch the online stream if all else fails, which is what I'll be doing also. The NFLN has the same problem Yep, and not only that, but there are several series' that already get shown all over Versus, and face it, the Wings/Jax series is not a terribly exciting one. The Pens/Flyers, Sharks/Ducks, Caps/Rangers series is far more so, and no surprise they're getting the VS/NBC love. Wings got it all last year, so any Wings fan really has no reason to complain about that. Now, the NHL Network issue certainly is a viable complaint for anyone with Center Ice and their feed gets blacked out. I'd be rather pissed at that too. If the Pens were playing against any team in the NHL they'd still be getting the same amount of love. The Wings got the love last year because they're a more popular team around sport circles than the Pens. Wings fans have a perfect right to complain that the team we beat in the Finals is getting more attention than the Wings, even more so with these misleading commercials. I would keep checking it around game time cause there's usually a thread or two about that. I think atdhe.net may be showing it, but the online streams that are free don't have that good a quality anymore. In my case, the FSD feed that came up for Game 2 didn't even show up on Center Ice on my guide. There's definitely some changes that's happened to broadcasts because this year I haven't had a single TSN broadcast in the playoffs via Center Ice, which is bulls***.
