servo 15 Report post Posted May 3, 2009 I don't care how much of an ellite level athelete you are, if you are playing that much at such a high level you will fatigue. The key is the WIngs need goals early and often. Even games still benefit us late in the 3rd while overtimes certanly are strongly in our favor!
Seraph 240 Report post Posted May 3, 2009 Getting the first goal is going to be key for this reason. If we can get into the driver's seat and always match up with their power line, we're going to be in a good spot.
ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted May 3, 2009 I don't think our 4th line saw or will see much time against the Ducks' 1st line at all - that's not a desirable match-up. Don't get me wrong, I think they're more or less sound defensively, but not at the same level as our top 2 (and maybe even top 3) lines. I'm pretty sure they were used against the Ducks' 3rd and 4th lines mostly. I guess I forgot to mention that Carlyle could have gotten Getzlaf a maximum of 7 minutes against Helm. My point was that any of our top three lines have the capability to contain Getzlaf, although seeing Hudler and Samuelsson line up against Perry and Ryan isn't exactly confidence-inspiring. NGKEIB 32 Report post Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) Apologies for the misunderstanding. I'm with you there, I'd rather have them seeing Franzén and Cleary. Edited May 3, 2009 by NGKEIB
