greenrebellion 415 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 I wonder if Draper's absence played a role in his reluctance to change the lines. They're down one center and then to take another one and put him at a wing may have concerned Babcock. I don't know, it's just a theory. Not a theory, Babcock specifically mentioned that as a material factor in him waiting as long as possible to change lines. Without draper, our depth down the middle for faceoffs is significantly eroded with the way the lines were changed. Hopefully draper is back for game 5. Nutty2003 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 I just don't understand why everyone was up in arms when babcock said that the lines where staying the same to reporters. obviously he's not gonna give the ducks a day to plan for a line shake up if he doesn't have to. I think that if it was pretty clear to all the lounge chair coaches on this board we needed a shake up, that the general would take notice as well. Babs is a coach of few words, few excuses, and never likes to give information on anything whether it's injuries or gameplans
titanium2 867 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 I watched a replay of Mule's first goal in which he took a drop pass from Fil. I watched Fil's head and man with the way he was admiring Ericsson pass he could've gotten decked hard with an open ice hit at the blue line. Good thing he lucked out on that one.
