Ms_Hockey 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 We don't need more offensive fire power.. we just need our guys to play a full 60 minutes of hockey.
wingsdiehard13 33 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 Maltby - 10 games, 1 assist, -2, 3 shots Leino - 10 games, 13 pts (3g, 10a), even, 24 shots You're comparing regular season games for Leino, and then taking ten playoff games for Maltby. Lets be honest, Playoff hockey is a step up from the regular season. Im all for Leino, but not for game 7 against the Anaheim Ducks. We have nobody in the line-up that we could take out in favor of him.
Zeke 5 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 This is one of the best posts I have seen in a while. The fact that he didn't see the third period last night tells us what Babs thinks of him. Do you think Leino would have been on the ice? Malts has been ineffective and invisible,a shadow of his former self.

Still, Hudler had little ice time in the 3rd. I think Leino would have been the same way.

wingsdiehard13 33 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 I'll take a little of Leino over none of Maltby Maltby is a 4th line grinder, Leino doesn't fill that role. Look, it's obvious Leino is better in many aspects of the game, but he is a completely different player than Maltby.

I'll take the 1997 version of Maltby anytime over Leino for this series, but the new Maltby doesn't score,or hit,or intimidate. He doesn't bring anything to the table. Zeke 5 Report post Posted May 14, 2009 Not exactly sure what you said but that was on the powerplay and one of his few shifts. Impact player with little ice time. Last year,I believe he was top 4 on the team in playoff scoring, again with little ice time.
