They're easily the best team of the decade. Some amazing players, heart(no Stanley Cup hangover for them), great on special teams,... Of course there were things I didn't agree with but you have that with every team. So congrats for making it to the Conference Finals. But The Ducks deserved it just as much. We came into The Playoffs as the #8 seed. Bye bye President's Trophy winners. And then the wings. We gave em a run for their money. We took them to 7 games and IMO we were the better team in this game. But you can't win em all. The 1st period was okay. Start of the 2nd was terrible but after our 1st goal we took over and really gave em a scare. This season was a nightmare up till the deadline. But then we turned things around and made the best of it. Awesome ending of the season. Congrats to Bob Murray for making the right moves. Apologies to Randy Carlyle. I'm not a guy who calls for people's heads when things are going bad but after that loss to atlanta I thought a coaching change wouldn't have been a bad idea. Bob Murray stayed with Carlyle and it paid of. Congrats to the players for turning the season around. In The Playoffs it was mostly Hiller who was our #1 star. Rightfully so. Getzy was a beast for us. Todd Marchant was also amazing. And how about Corey Perry? He's somebody who takes a lot of crap on this board but he had a great regular season and an awesome Playoffs. And lots of credit to Chris Pronger. He played some amazing disciplined hockey. And Teemu proved that he still has it in this last game. Don't hang up the skates please. I wish we could keep every player but that's not possible. It was a season of ups & downs but in the end I am damn proud!! This final series was a clash between the 2007 Champions & the 2008 champions. We stood tall, fought hard and held our ground. Nobody would have thought that in february. Let's hope that next season is another great chapter in the history of this franchise. There's no doubt in my mind that we can make another memorable season out of it. Go Ducks!! A classy dude. kidish 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Anaheim has a lot of realistic fans over on their message boards, and they don't tend to come to other people's boards for the trolling. Then again, there are morons on every board. That being said, from the folks I've talked to, they are proud of their team for going that far against what most will admit is frankly a better team in Detroit. Hell of a series.
