dicksmack 33 Report post Posted May 26, 2009 Yay Spits! They were the first team to lose the first two games and come back and beat everybody! I'm hoping (and confident) that there will be two coveted hockey trophies in the area this summer!
HockeytownRN 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2009 SO excited for the Spitfires!! I grew up going to all of the Spitfires games. One of my favorite players was…Paul Maurice. I'm so glad they won after losing Mickey Renaud.

cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted May 26, 2009 (edited) Two things: One, I miss the old Spitfires logo. Two, why aren't they affiliated with the Wings? I never got that. One: You mean this one? Two: The OHA Junior "A"'s affiliation with the NHL ended after the 1966-67 season, followed by the League's expansion. At that time, Detroit's affiliate was in Hamilton, ON. wikipedia dot com. Edited May 26, 2009 by cusimano_brothers
