kook_10 1,705 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 In all the celebration, it seems the fact the Wings didnt give up a PP goal last night seems to have been overshadowed. In the absence of Lids and Big Rig the whole team seemed to play defense much tighter. Stuart was amazing - and made me cringe everytime he blocked a shot. The forwards did a great job of not running around on the PK, and also just busting their ass backchecking to keep the 4.5 D fresh. I'm hoping the game last night offered some good lessons in the forwards' defensive responsibility that we can really use against Malkin and Crosby. 1 PPG a game certainly doesnt seem sustainable.
