mtuhockey7 23 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 A buddy and I are planning on going to Hockeytown Cafe Saturday to watch game 1. We realize it is going to be an absolute zoo. Has anyone been there in the last week or two on game day? How early do you advise we go?
Ms_Hockey 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 I haven't been down there this year, but I went a couple times last year for the Wings/Pens games. My dad and I usually got there about three hours before puck drop just to be safe.

It's a fantastic atmosphere to watch a game. Highly recommended
KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 I went last year during the finals for a weekend game, and the place was a zoo with all of the Wings fans + Pens fans that traveled up for the games. There was also a Tigers game going on, so that just added to it, but it was mostly the hockey crowd. I'd say get there a couple of hours early for sure if you want a seat. wmubronco420 25 Report post Posted May 29, 2009 i went there for the first time last year and tbh i was kinda disappointed. not that it was bad it just wasnt all that special, although it wasnt during a wings game. Is that the way to go?

Is that the way to go? You definitely have to be there during a Wings game. I'd say it's the second best thing to being AT the actual game.
