Rocket Queen 30 1 Report post Posted June 2, 2009 Pittsburgh scores one. But Pittsburgh didn't even put it in. Erricson made a mistake and bumped it in. Meanwhile, Pitts fans are complaining that Detroit had SIX lucky goals, and is certain that is why Detroit is ahead, when in fact, Pittsburgh has only put 1 in the net for themselves That Powerplay, that lead to that goal, was a slashing call, which if you view the slow motion video reply, the two sticks never even connected. (The video can be found in another thread, sorry no link off the top of my head) We now have a new rule in hockey, it states: "We make rules, but we can add to them on the fly, and "Frustration of a player" is now a valid reason to take back a call." I just find it amusing. Old school hockey is certainly a thing of the past. I stopped watching Basketball when I started seeing NBA players fly to the ground without being touched, land on their ass hands planted firmly to push them another 10 feet across the floor (My friend and I use to Tivo the games and slow mo it, hehe). As a rule, sports are becoming more and more theatrical. It's kind of sad. just have to clarify... it was Stuart.. not E.
Jake Ryan 1 Report post Posted June 2, 2009 The Wings haven't even played well for 60 minutes yet against the Pens. That's the scary thing. Wait til they put a full game together. 5 or 6 goals.

Jake Ryan 1 Report post Posted June 2, 2009 LOL Stuart friggin RAKED it in... I guess he really wanted to score. Yah, and Malkin almost creamed himself. The Pens get a goal and it's like they've knocked the Berlin Wall down. The Wings know what's up.

Jake Ryan 1 Report post Posted June 2, 2009 Haha! No s***. !!! I was thinking in my head: "Calm down, 71. You didn't really make a good play there, but we'll spot you that one. Just don't make a mess in your jock like you just solved world hunger or something."

They have scored two goals in two games. There is a reason they get excited for a goal: it rarely happens against the Detroit Red Wings.
