Plan is to keep the Panthers where they are. I suspect that that hockey club is kind of secondary to the arena lease management rights and any potential land development options near the arena.

The Panthers' parent company has proposed a project, dubbed Oz, on 140 acres of land around the BankAtlantic Center. It would include office space, shops, apartment units, hotels, a movie theater and classrooms. Broward County would consider leasing the land but not before determining whether the plan is economically feasible, county administrator Bertha Henry said in April.

Hopefully they can work off the promising year they had this year to make some good playoff runs in the upcoming years, and not have to worry about it for many years to come.

I would say move them but I don't know if there are any more US markets left for hockey that would work, and I doubt these guys would take them to Canada. and as someone said its probably more about the arena than anything.
