ESPN doesn't care about hockey. They care even less for the Detroit Red Wings. So that should tell you how good the Wings Francise as a whole is that a media organization that doesn't care about the particular sport and is bias against the team still ranks them at number 4.

This is just a listing. Like the BCS standings in college football, you can have a whole bunch of different polls, some probably saying the Wings are 1st or 2nd, some might say the Wings are 10th, whatever.

It's all because of the categories they use to rank the teams ... the Wings got hit on ticket prices and stadium experience, not really surprising. Other than that they would have been #1.
