cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted July 4, 2009 From TSN. TORONTO -- Arland Bruce might have thought it would be a thriller but the CFL decided it was simply bad. The league fined the Toronto slotback an undisclosed amount Thursday for his touchdown celebration in the Argos' season-opening win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Wednesday. Bruce said he was paying tribute to Michael Jackson. The CFL called it "excessive." After scoring on a 21-yard pass from Kerry Joseph to put Toronto ahead 6-0, Bruce removed his helmet, shoulder pads and uniform top, then laid down in the end zone. Bruce said he was simply honouring Jackson's memory by pretending to be buried. The game's referee saw it differently and gave Bruce two objectionable conduct penalties. cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted July 12, 2009 From Regina Leader Post : Toronto Argonauts slotback Arland Bruce III -- whose biggest claim to fame so far is his ridiculous post-touchdown homage to Michael Jackson during a CFL game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last week -- is suffering from a serious case of hemorrhoids. It's a perfect ailment for a guy who made an ass of himself ... Bruce is to be in the lineup today when the Argos entertain the Saskatchewan Roughriders at the Rogers Centre. If he struggles with his problem and gets angry about it, it'll be a classic example of 'rhoid rage ... This could mark the start of a bad year for Bruce -- y'know, an anus horribilis ... What are the chances? Bruce has hemorrhoids and one of his Argonauts teammates is named Willie Pile.
HadThomasVokounOnFortSt 878 Report post Posted July 12, 2009 You know I like the touchdown celebrations. They make the games more fun to watch, just like Chad Johnson, I like to watch what he does when he scores touchdowns.
