dobbles 252 Report post Posted July 23, 2009 So, I am thinking of switching to satellite from cable. And I have a question about getting the addon of all the FSN channels. I live in Illinois and only get to watch the Wings on TV if its on Versus or NBC. While I could get Center Ice on the satellite I was wondering if I could just get the FSN package and watch all the games that way? I wasn't sure if they would be blacked out though since I am not a local market? Is anyone familiar with how that works? Having always had cable, I have never really had that option. Thanks in advance for any information!

winginKentucky 1 Report post Posted July 23, 2009 I have DirecTV and the sports package. All the games except for your local area will be blacked out. Sucks I know. No sense even getting the sports package IMO.

MadMan Mark 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2009 I don't know how the blackout works if you get the sports package. I have subscribed to Center Ice for last 3 years. When I lived in Vegas, I got screwed when the Wings played LA and Ana. Now that I live in SoCal, that will definitely apply. . . God how I can't stand the LA and Ana announcers. It really sucked this past post-season. I just wish if you pay for the service, you should be able to declare your favorite team and get to watch them regardless, especially when it's clear you live out of the market. I guess that's a long way of saying just buy Center Ice
