Yes, this was my big plan. I signed up in 2002, and waited

guess the occasion was a 5-game easy series where the blues were manhandled by a bunch of hall of famers :)

0-2 is not the best way to start the season, but i will keep the wings 2002-2009 track record over the blues any day

Osgood sucked during last year reg season, I think it may be an issue...

I still don't get why we did not get some quality backup, a lot of guys would have signed for the wings for 1 million.. osgood won't last forever, that could be a huge opportunity for a lot of guys...

and playing with the RW gives you usually top GAA and SV%, useful if you want to get big bucks after.

What kind of half-respectable site based on a sports team flashes on their main page a bunch of biased bashing of a team? What a joke. (Talking about LGB and their brilliant webmasters/bloggers)

The same kind that have a "Detroit Sucks" emoticon on their forum. Inferiority complex.

Probably pretty upset that they havent beat the Wings in the postseason since 1991 and they havent even qualified for the postseason after the lockout until last season when they got swept. I guess its easy to understand the jealousy since the Red Wings have dominated the Central Division for so long. They get two wins over the Wings to start the season and think they won the Stanley Cup already.

Exactly. I had the misfortune of living in St. Louis for a few years, and the whole city has a hilarious inferiority complex, although Blues fans are the worst. It's a shame, too, because St. Louis has some passionate, knowledgeable hockey fans. The problem is that such fans are always drowned out by the "fans" who either 1) couldn't care less if the Blues ever actually won a Cup or anything (as long as the other team is carried off the ice on stretchers, they're giddy; slugs like Reed Low are worshipped like gods), or 2) would rather do nothing but whine about how the Blues don't get enough "attention" or "respect" from the national media, fans of other teams, etc., despite the obvious (at least to the rest of the world) fact that the team has never achieved a freaking thing in its 40+ year history. (Although their apologists laughably cling to the team's finals appearances in the 60s, when the NHL rigged the alignments so that an expansion team would make the finals. Kind of like the NFL guaranteeing the 1976 Tampa Bay Bucs or Seattle Seahawks a berth in the Super Bowl and the chance to get slaughtered by the Steelers.)

Nothing beats listening to Blues fans when their team is losing in the 3rd period for sheer entertainment value. The crescendo quickly builds in support of the Blues gooning it up in order to "send a message" for the next game. Problem is, it's never exactly clear what the message is. Based on their record, it's probably: "Let's celebrate another decade of never actually winning anything, but at least we'll send our WWF fans home happy."

I gotta say that's funny as hell. But sad. But funny. But sad. :(

so.. if you try to look at it from a non-biased perspective how do you think people view red wings fan after say.... they lose their first 2 games of the season?

not that it is anything wrong with that but self-distance.. try it! altho i know it's a part of the passion to be biased... see? self distance again. or hypocracy? you choose - both ok in fan-passion!. im serious!
