King Crane 289 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) I have the rare opportunity to personally meet the entire team this weekend at Olympia and can bring something to be autographed. (Beside an blank wings jersey) What are some cool ideas? Edited October 16, 2009 by ZMAN
mad dingo 6 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) I would get a hockey stick signed forsure. Nice piece to have above the fire place. Edited October 14, 2009 by mad dingo
Yzermania 156 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 I wouldn't really say a blank jersey but if you have a jersey that is customized with a player's name and number, they always look awesome getting them signed on the numbers. Or maybe a picture from the 08 cup championship of the whole team...It's the majority of the same guys still....
King Crane 289 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 How about question ideas? What should I ask the players when i'm there?
Guest lnvincible Report post Posted October 15, 2009 How about question ideas? What should I ask the players when i'm there? Hockey cards wouldn't be a bad idea. Just ask normal , treat them like you treat other people.
weGotTheCup89 41 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Ask them what they did over the summer. Just like they'd ask you in elementary school lol
AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Ask them why they suck on defense. Go ahead, I dare ya.

Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 First born child? Then the real question is can you wash it? Or do you stick it in a glass case?
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Oh I got it! Find some McFarlane Sports Picks action figures and get the corresponding player to sign the base. A signed Lidstrom would look awesome on your desk at work.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) I would say go with a wooden Sher-wood stick without tape on the blade. They are tan and the sigs will show up. Or you can go for a Goalie stick which would give you more than ample space to get all the sigs on it. Unless you have a jersey and number from every player on the team you want a sig from... I would highly suggest getting a blank jersey to have them all sign it * biggest pet peeve * having players other than the player with his number on your jersey signing the jersey... Ugh... totally stupid! Edited October 15, 2009 by OsGOD
Kira 451 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 I know Pasha doesn't like to sign sticks, so that may be an option for not taking. A practice jersey for all the guys to sign might be nice. I took a hat with me to camp and got a lot of signatures on it...Pasha, Homer, Nick, Valtteri, Derek, Rafi, Jason, Danny, Nik and even Mike Babcock...and a few more as well. King Crane 289 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Hockey cards wouldn't be a bad idea. Just ask normal , treat them like you treat other people. Yah, that's what I keep telling myself, but it seems like such a hard thing to do if i get star-struck. Ask them what they did over the summer. Just like they'd ask you in elementary school lol Haha I was thinking along those lines. It seems to me that asking them or commenting on they're abilities is superfluous because they are professionals and they have professional trainers and coaches to do that already. seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) How about question ideas? What should I ask the players when i'm there? Ask them who the most well-endowed is. Don't act like you don't want to know. I should add a "no homo." Edited October 15, 2009 by SeeinRed
skacore 2 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 if you have to ask someone else for questions to ask then IMO don't ask them.. don't waste these guys time if you have something you want to know then ask them, if not don't ask anything... you know what i mean? The truth is I do have some questions i want to ask, but i posted asking for questions to generate some more ideas and to see if there is anything people on the forum want answered that the media hasn't commented on yet. In other words, I want to try to get some of letsgowings.com's questions answered.

tiff_luvs_homer 5 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 (edited) Cough... He wouldn't sign our stick last time he was in Denver and I believe that is what Kira is referring to. We put our stick in front of him and he said "I don't sign sticks" but he was more than happy to sign our 8x10. Just sayin'... if you got one you're lucky Edited October 16, 2009 by tiff_luvs_homer
Kira 451 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 Thanks for the backup, Tiff. That's the point I was trying to make. As far as talking to them, a simple hello can break the ice.
