My two daughters aren't the ones getting booed, so your point is irrelevant. I'm trying to teach them to be good sports. I teach them to play to win, but not at the expense of playing fair. I teach them that losing sucks, but it's part of sports. I am a man, not a little baby booing a player that didn't make things super-fantastic for us. My feelings aren't hurt, far from it. I just don't like trying to explain childish reactions when people are supposed to be adults. Everybody knew Hossa wasn't going to stay more than one season, so are you going to boo him because he sucked in the playoffs? It was more than Hossa that sucked in the playoffs, so will you boo them too? I'm guessing you are one of those bandwagon fans. You probably didn't like Hossa when he played elsewhere, loved him in Detroit, hate him because he's playing somewhere else again. If he comes back to Detroit, everyone's going to love him again.

The guy is getting healthy, good for him. He's getting on with his career, good for him. Haters aren't needed anywhere.

I'm not sure what your issue is...but, maybe you haven't even been diagnosed yet. Go see someone. A therapist, a doctor, a hooker if that's what you need. You boo Hossa because he's on another team? There are many players on many other teams, why not boo them? I do know what a bandwagon fan is, by the way. My guess is that you are one. My guess is that when Detroit is not doing well, you will not be around, and that's good. But my reference in the previous post was to being a bandwagon fan of Hossa's. Hated him before Detroit, loved him in Detroit, hate him after Detroit. I'll stop talking when I have said what I have to say, but thanks for the offer. And "fruit cup"? What are you, twelve? if he showed up in the finals we would have won. hes a loser, and always will be.

He was injured before we even picked him up and slowly got worse during the year. Let's see you have a great playoff run with a tear in your rotator cuff and tell me how it goes.

The guy was one of the main reasons we got to the playoffs. I'd never boo him, he's an elite player. I won't cheer for him, but I won't boo him.

I've never understood the booing thing. I think it's classless and poor sportsmanship. I was never a fan of Hossa and I am certainly glad Kenny Holland signed Franzen to the long term deal instead of Hossa. Franzen is a more valuable player in the playoffs, and he's a rare commodity in the NHL.
