The big question mark right now is Lilja. If Holland thinks he'll be ready in the next few months he might stand pat. Otherwise I imagine he'll make a move to pick up a Lilja-like guy to pair with Ericsson. E's obviously got the offensive talent to be the shooter/playmaker on the pairing, so like you said-- we need a stay at home guy to throw in beside Ericsson. Plus, switching the Lebda/Meech spot for another guy who can PK, block shots and hit can only help the Wings. With Ericsson there they don't need a second puck mover on that pairing anyway.

Yes. The Lilja circumstance is a major monkey wrench in this equation. If he can come back, suddenly you've got a lot of defensive problems solved in getting Lebda/Meech out of the regular rotation. We've already got a lot more cap room and Holland likely will try to make a move at some point, but if we get Lilja back and the D straightens up, we'd probably be better off trying to land another guy who can chip in 15-20 goals or perhaps even more. It's sticky...

But hey, thank goodness it's simply October!

Hell yeah. I'm assuming Lilja's seen the best concussion guys in the country. If not I hope he has an appointment.

as SWF says... its ONLY TEN GAMES in to the season....

How many have reset your LIFETIME MPG on your car while driving and notice when you take your foot off the gas it goes up to 112MPG.... do you assume that is your actual mpg... or do you wait for a few miles/days/weeks to find the true average of around 31.8mpg....

same goes for these, they will have sharp spikes and drops with such a little sample... basic math
