Osgood almost cost wings the game with the patethic softies, he sucked so much the last regular season and every game he played this season...

Lebda brutal as always, shop at the deadline please, lilja wont be back either.

Datsyuk finally got some goals, well deserved..

Kronwall actually was solid both defensively and offensively

Bertuzzi was also very good I thought

Depth isn't very good on this team atm, most of the third period they played only two lines and the third line only a few shifts in the end, 4th line sat out all 3rd period, that's not how wings want to play but i guess everyone was desperate to win a game.

So yeah the 4th line was a little light, but the third line had pretty good playing time...most 4th lines dont get much playing time in a tight game in the third though

The Vancouver 4th line only had one more shift then the Wings fourth line in that period actually...

Maltby is a PK'er so he got time from that, however may and abdelkader... :/

I think they ran only two lines when they were down a goal, when they got a goal they could play them... hopefully 3rd and 4th play more at edmonton so this team aint burned out come january

There I can agree on the 4th line, a ***** of the ice time was PK...

I was satisfied with third line ice time though. Leino had 14:23 with pretty much all of it even strength, Draper had 15:38, 13:14 of it even strength, Williams had 13:41 with 12:14 of it even strength.

While the second line had Cleary 20:12, 15:44 Even Strength, Bertuzzi 16:49 with 15:33 Even Strength and Filppula had 17:20 with 13:42 Even Strength

Then the first line was Z 19:51 with 16:10 Even Strength Pavs 18:55 with 16:58 Even Strength Homer 16:21 with 14:21 Even strength

So even strength there was only a difference of 4 minutes from worst to first for the top 3 lines and the rest was special teams, so top 3 lines all played pretty even with only Pavs and Hank (the superstars) cleaning clock on even strength playing time...

4th line playing time is a concern but 1-3rd playing time wasn't bad.

I was so sure Zetterberg and Datsyuk had around 22-23mins.. glad to see they were where they suppose to be

The 4thline must be a bit better, you gotta notice them more.. im not so sure abdelkader is a good fit on the 4th..big minutes in GR is the way to go imo

I'm here eating crow this morning (look at my first reply to the OP)..

The good: pavs hopefully will score more often.. j-ho has some newly refound confidence coming back and saving our bacon, thanks to ozzie.. and flip really is on his game, some nice passes to bert and willy

The bad: we really cannot rely on our guys to score 5 a night - our D/goalie holes are still there and need to be plugged.

All in all, glad to have 2 more points

Filppula was good but I got very angry at that faceoff highstick, one of the more unnecessary penalties there is along with delay of game...

I wish Howard get the starts in edmonton and get the SSssssss-out or 1goal at most, he had 2 behind him last night one on the 5on3 but still, a goalie who shuts the door, they grow 7ft tall from that im sure...

Btw, Pk was pretty mediocre wasn't it? the 5on3 should be a goal most of the times so cant blame that, but 1 or 2goals in 5on4 or? and 1 or 2pks were 100% ?

Very true, but one thing I take at least some comfort in is that Oz wasn't up for the game the moment he put on his pads and Jimmy played great whichc allowed the Wings to tie things up. Yes he gave up an untimely goal to Schneider, but Schneids has been scoring those kinds of goals his entire career. Then, realistically any 5-on-3 for over 45 seconds should result in a goal or its shame on the offense.

As a whole the Wings continued to play well tonight after a strong outing in Colorado, but the difference last night from Saturday was the fact that our guys drove the net and stayed there. They got dirty and were rewarded and that's what this team needs to do to win games. Not to mention the second period was probably their strongest even though it was the only period that didn't include a goal.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if they continue to play at this level and get solid goaltending they shouldn't have to worry about putting up 5 a night. That being said, your point is taken.

where are only some games shown on FSNHD actually in HD? Why aren't all games shown on the FSDHD channel shown in HD? whats the point of even having a HD channel turned on if they are simply going to add those stupid FOXSPORTSDETROIThd banners on the sides and play a fuzzy standard signal in the middle... couldn't they just turn that channel to the "testing" pretty color lights with a message that says, "not tonight"

What a beasty win, to come back from being down 2-0 when you starting goal tender couldn't stop a beach ball and you've yet to win at home is a tough thing to do. You could just feel the oh s*** here we go again mentality after the first two softies, warrior type effort to stay with it and get a win.

Loved Z and Datsyuk's play and Filpula had an incredible game perhaps the best game I've ever seen him play. Its a long season and anything can happen but if the Wings can maintain this level of effort and execution they will go far.

I have to say that even as a fan who isn't 100% pro enforcer it is awesome to have a guy like May on the team, when he plays his presence is felt.

where is these schedules that say which are broadcast in HD on the HD channel and which are broadcast in SD on the hd channel?

All home games are in HD. Away games depend on the location. For instance, we get the Phoenix, San Jose, and Los Angeles games in HD, but not the Anaheim one. Go figure... my guess is it depends on the capabilities of the arena.

After watching the first period it was fairly easy to go to bed last night, but I was very surprised when I watched the rest this morning (DVR's rock). That was a good game for the Wings and exactly what they needed- a good effort rewarded with the win.

Maybe they'll *start to* get it turned around now?

Also, **IMPORTANT** I am NOT trying to start stuff here, what a sad showing by Ozzie. I hope for everyone's sake he doesn't have too many more games like that this season.

I noticed the same thing. I saw 3 channels available.. 2 from FSD, one from Sportsnet. Of the 2 FSD broadcasts, one was a stretched SD version, the other claimed to be HD but like was mentioned had that damn sidebar, which annoyed me too.

whats the need to defend really... he is great when needed down the stretch in the playoffs. he is a playoff performer. he can play piss poor for the 82 games and let the backups or whatever get the w's.... all that matters is he is able to get the final 16 we need. and he came as close you could possibly last season.
