cmonster 11 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 With the recent play of the Red Wings I am not so sure that we will pull out of this tailspin. So, for the time being, if we are going to suck we might as well salivate over who we might get in the draft. http://www.tsn.ca/draftcentre/feature/?id=11944 Tyler Seguin, John McFarland, and Erik Gudbranson are probably the three most exciting prospects for me. There is one other that I would keep my eye on and that is Riley Sheahan. He is the 15th ranked prospect at TSN.

The season's one quarter over, and you're starting a thread to try and figure out draft picks?!?! Way to give up. Edit: I have a habit of writing "your" instead of "you're", regardless of the fact I know the difference. Edited November 28, 2009 by CaliWingsNut

Especially considering the Wings have a winning record!! Normally at the end of the year, winning record teams get in. I agree with you CWN. It's way too early to throw in the towel. It's way too early to throw in the towel. It IS too early to throw in the towel. But I like the "can't loose" mentality. If the Wings bomb, they probably get a top 10 pick. Something they haven't had since 1991 (Martin Lapointe, 1/10). I can honestly live with that (as long as they don't draft another Joe Murphy).

It's way too early to throw in the towel. How do you figure the wings have a "winning record"? We are 11-9-4......to me thats 11 wins and 13 losses. Not a winning record. And thats exactly the problem with the 1 point for overtime or shootout losses...it makes people feel like your team is better than it really is. All I know is that we have definitely lost more games than we've won. I think the first thing we need to go after in the draft is someone who is big, can score, and will mix it up after the whistle. Our team has absolutely no grit. and we don't seem to have much passion right now. and...BERTUZZI sucks balls...he needs to be waived when our injuries come back..
