Slabby 3 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 Since this board is so intent on doom and gloom, I thought we could look at the silver lining. How low do YOU think the Wings can finish this year? Really, it seems like this could be a "reload" type year with a set of higher draft picks and then back to business as usual next year. Could the Wings be bad enough to land a potential top 10 guy like Gudbranson? Really, you've seen the magic that Jimmy Nill and Hakan can pull off with virtually the lowest draft picks possible every year. In a morbid way, it would be fun to see what they do with better picks. Hopefully bottom 5. Taylor Hall would look nice in a Wings uni. Clearly the most important thing on this team's mind is the Olympics this year. You can forget about the Stanley Cup. TheOwl 77 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 Detroit will only get a top 10 pick if they totally miss the play-offs. If this team misses the play-offs, it'll the biggest disaster in the last 10 years. How could a team with Datysuk, Zetterberg, and Lidstrom miss the play-offs. It doesn't matter that we have 5 or 6 useless forwards. Detroit has ZERO excuse for not making the play-offs this year, even with injuries this team should be a top 6 team. It's pathetic. Although Hall wouldn't be too bad
Carman 387 Report post Posted November 29, 2009 I'd rather have Cam Fowler.
