Get Datsyuk with Zetterberg and Helm. That's the way to get out of this mess. SPEED. SPEED KILLS. It's been said so much that it's a cliche. SPEED KILLS. But in hockey, speed doesn't kill without skill. Helm needs to have skill on his line if he's going to be effective as an offensive player. I am tired of seeing Holmstrom on the top line. GET HIM OFF.

I agree with this. I feel like if Helm had someone to set him up more often, he'd get more chances to shoot the puck on net, which could easily lead to scoring. Spark him, you spark Datsyuk's confidence, you spark Zetterberg's consistency, and you spark the rest of the team's morale.

Exactly. Zetterberg is the only player on the Wings that can keep up with Helm. Draper can skate with Helm, but he's not going to provide enough skill. Helm and Zetterberg would terrorize defensemen while entering the zone. This will open up space for Datsyuk to operate. Once Datsyuk's in the zone, he doesn't need a lot of space. But Holmstrom's lack of speed means a lot of hooking and holding in the neutral zone for Datsyuk. And this is why he appears slow and uneffective. The team doesn't have to guard Holmstrom, so they can slack off and pay more attention to Datsyuk. I'm telling you this: When Babcock finally realizes this, things will start getting better for #13.
