I've been a fan of the Wings my entire life, but up until I saw the Nashville game where Datsyuk had that goal I wasn't a hardcore fan. That move brought me back to hockey after the lock-out.

malik's is actually much easier to pull off than datsyuks. I've been scoring on between the legs shots for years....but datsyuk's..dragging the puck back when you're in THAT close to the goalie is pretty tricky, it's very easy for the goalie to just poke check it whereas the between the legs shot, well, once you put the puck back between your legs, you're protecting it from the goalie, so it just depends on how good of a shot you pull off.

Agreed. It's not easy but it's a hell of alot easier than the Datsyuk goal. I've been pulling between the legs s*** since I was 14 and I'm a goalie. The Datsyuk move is more skilled.

However, the Malik looks flashier. Therefore to most, it will be superior.

Yeah, Datsyuk's is very hard to pull off. If you just do it very basic without a proper headfake, a decent goalie will stop you 90% of the time. You have to establish the perfect toedrag and headfake at the perfect time. It's a lot harder than it looks.
