Guest VAL FILPPULA Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Here's a quote from Bert that I think pretty much describes this season. "Everyone knows where we're at right now (out of the playoffs), and this team isn't very familiar with the position we are in," said Bertuzzi, who has now scored eight goals in the last eight games. "There are only so many excuses. It's up to us in here to get the job done and get on that playoff ladder and then wait for reinforcements to come." http://www.detnews.com/article/20091226/SPORTS0103/912260361

Guest zackmorris Report post Posted December 28, 2009 (edited) I've never been serious. That'd be convenient if it was true. Just that it's not. You rode Crosby til you became known as a Sid fanboy. So you went full-on sarcastic. It's like declaring bankruptcy on your reputation. Edited December 28, 2009 by zackmorris

stuck in socal 56 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Bert seems determined and hungry to win right now. This is good because we are gonna need him for the rest of the season and hopefully the playoffs.

It's like declaring bankruptcy on your reputation. Someone has a problem detecting sarcasm... I believe that Crosby is currently the best player in the NHL. But if you think I was serious when I said Crosby>Gretzky then I can't help you. Sorry I enjoy typing ridiculous things on the internet sometimes. Hopefully it doesn't hinder your experience too much.
Guest zackmorris Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Yeah yeah "can't detect sarcasm". Mmm hmmm. Next time I'm called out for something I'll just play that card too. Oh and I wasn't talking about that comment. I didn't even read that. Fact is you were becoming known as a Sid lover so you went a little overboard on sarcasm to make all your old posts seem less stupid. Sorry if I can see it. I'll keep quiet from here on out, your rep seems to be a big deal to you.
uk_redwing 495 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Leino should be added to the assistant's captain rotation. Ville Leino for head coach He can transfer some of his on-ice work ethic to the rest of his team that way. Screw Babcock...hes not bad, but he aint no Ville! There can not be a "best" player because everyone has their own opinions. I would take Big Joe or Ovechkin over Crosby. I just do not like Crosby because he complains too much and I hate how he is the "golden boy." Crosby did not even win the cup last year for his team. That was Maxim Talbot. Carman 387 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Someone photoshop Talbot wearing a refs uniform. That'd be pretty accurate. Because the refs controlled the injuries of the Red Wings...
Guest zackmorris Report post Posted December 28, 2009 I don't remember saying that. Get your head checked. The refs did however contol the blatant holding, hooking and interference that defensemen wearing yellow got away with whenever Pittsburgh needed back in the series. You can go into "honorable fan" mode all you want but you can't tell me we weren't dicked last year. Even neutral fans could see something was up. Years like 06, 03, etc., those were our fault. But last years Cup final was so full of bulls*** I can't believe anyone actually believes it was all legit. Label me Fox Mulder, I don't give a s***, I saw what I saw. Hell, we lost game 3 on something Hal Gill and half their team got away with for 7 games without a call. Especially after that NBA official came out and admitted what most fans here would laugh off as conspiracy theory bulls***, I don't trust this league one bit. Carman 387 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 I still think us not having our best players as healthy as the Pittsburgh Penguins' players have more to do with our loss then phantom officiating conspiracies. You can go ahead and hope that the integrity of the game we all love has completely dissolved into a marketing scheme to award the championship to teams that the league figures would produce more money. I'll believe that the game is the game until proven otherwise. I don't like to believe things that I cannot see for myself.
Guest zackmorris Report post Posted December 28, 2009 That's a dooming stance to take when your perception might well be for s***. Do you think they'd make it easy for everyone to see? I'm sure the NBA make it crystal clear. Lucky for you I don't think they'll be pulling any Shayamalan-like twists and admitting wrong doing. It's all there on DVD if you want to look at it to see for yourself-after game 2, they mauled us to death.
Carman 387 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Yeah yeah. Just watch out for people trying to piss in your cereal while you're at it. So pretty much you are saying that everything that the NHL stands for and is about is like the WWE. Sorry don't buy it, I've watched the series calls weren't biased, even if they were injuries played a bigger factor then random calls/non calls.
Miller Brew 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Nice quote by Ber2zzi. He's hungry to win. We need that in the locker room.
Guest ZetterbergFourty Report post Posted December 28, 2009 The Refs had zero to do with that series. Sorry zebra jockeys. Maxim Talbot scored both goals, therefore clinching the Cup for his team. Crosby however "lead" them there, and thereMOREfore was soley responsible for the Cup coming to Pittsburgh. He's gotta shine that Conn Smythe up real nice before he passes it on to the next winner. Himself. Someone wanna pick the sarcasm out of that?
thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 I still think us not having our best players as healthy as the Pittsburgh Penguins' players have more to do with our loss then phantom officiating conspiracies. OK, let's discuss how the SCF started last year, with back to back games. That favors the rested, healthy team, right? But the NHL did it for the TV money. What else would they do for the money? Also, Malkin's non-suspension. This isn't even the in-game officiating. This is league "policy". And it is fair to assume league policy trickles down to the refs. Right?
