If you're going to try to badmouth people like on the elementary lawn, then try to articulate your rhetoric with some basis for understanding. May enforces and has done a great job; period. haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 Good prediction . That being said; Ville, please just go back and dominate FEL already. It'll be good for your ego. Says the expert when it comes to egos. Your fixation with my posts is almost as funny as your constant need for attention.

Sad but true. At least sad for Leino. May was once again on of the only Wings players actually crashing the net.

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 How'd you know; yes indeed sir Snepsts, E_S_A_D is my stage name. I know. It's the "online persona" that you allegedly have created and think is so hilarious. You're like the guy at work who thinks he's really funny. People laugh along and tell him he should be a standup comedian or in an improv group, mainly because they want him to stop talking so they can get away. But I don't want to drag this thread off topic because of you. I've unfortunately been giving you the attention you crave so much, en lieu of actually talking about hockey. Fare thee well drama queen.

When Leino has a scoring chance and doesn't score, it means he sucks because he doesn't score. Leino's had a number of scoring chances and he's also created them by himself, but I guess that's a bad thing then... Well, there's different expectations from May than Leino. Leino is supposed to be a much better finisher than May. And honestly it's his lack of hussle and how easily he gets pushed off the puck that seems to put him in the doghouse with Babcock. One of his strengths was supposed to be his ability to cycle the puck. That combined with his lack of production has been a bit of a disappointment.
Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 To be honest...I doubt he would. Hes too lazy and s*** to play on the top 2 lines, and most teams have grinders, defensive and hard hitting lines on the 3rd and 4th lines and he isnt that either. Yeah, I suppose a rookie with a potential high upside and very low salary wouldn't be a nice pickup for absolutely nothing.
Guest E_S_A_D Report post Posted January 6, 2010 I've unfortunately been giving you the attention you crave so much, en lieu of actually talking about hockey. Do you ever talk hockey? Most people that pm me about you, well 3 to be exact, just say you're a rude individual that must be miserable. Maybe you need a persona. Be Mickey Mouse or something. I don't know if you TRY to be amusing, but every post you make coincidentally makes me laugh. Irony? Anyways, Leino I predicted with my great hockey wisdom, hockey knowledge, and intelligence; would become a NHL flop. His style of play in FEL does not translate to our league. Also, put him in Grand Rapids... he's overpaid at $12,000; which is similar to the volunteer water boy's perks. His chances of getting picked up on waivers are slim. He's of no use to anyone and if he does- THANK YOU- SALARY DUMP.

Guest micah Report post Posted January 7, 2010 Yup. When May has a scoring chance and doesn't score, it means he's playing good to get that chance. When Leino has a scoring chance and doesn't score, it means he sucks because he doesn't score. Leino's had a number of scoring chances and he's also created them by himself, but I guess that's a bad thing then... May is here to punch big mean people in the head, if he scores it's a bonus. Leino is here to score. If he punches big mean people in the head, that's a bonus. May will score a goal before Leino beats up Jared Boll. That's my awesome rhyming prediction of the day. Guest zackmorris Report post Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) Well, there's different expectations from May than Leino. Realistically yes but not according to some people here. If the criticism is the same the expectations are the same. Like he said, a May scoring chance is considered good play but a Leino scoring chance is considered lazy sucking suckness lazily bleghghg. In the end, it's the same result. The puck goes in, or it doesn't. We as a collective need to admit when we target one player for criticism, we go WAY overboard. He's joined a long line of LGW whipping boys who are put under far too large a microscope. -Hudler -Lilja -Kronwall -Lebda -Meech etc, etc, etc Leino gets paid under a million dollars. He's only on the top lines because we suffered our worst injury luck in decades. When players return, he's back to the 3rd/4th lines. I'm sorry but what in the blue hell were you expecting? We just jacked our expectations up WAY too high for a kid still learning the NA game. But we love to hate him. We enjoy going overboard on him. Guest E_S_A_D Report post Posted January 7, 2010 We just jacked our expectations up WAY too high for a kid still learning the NA game. But we love to hate him. We enjoy going overboard on him. He sucks, is lazy, and threatened to go back to Finland if he wasn't with the team. Some team player. Also, name a time Leino has 'enforced', even one time, and that'll debunk everyone's points about May scoring goals.
kook_10 1,705 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 Leino seems to be a bigger ***** than Huds was at this point. Huds at least was sturdy on his skates and nimble enough to get himself 23 goals, but nimble is the last word I would use with Ville. If it wasn't for his lack of speed you would never guess he is listed at 6'1. Can the Wings really make him faster? He definitely does not have the time to hit the weights during the season either. I'm not ready to entirely write him off for his career but I have written him off for this season. He definitely needs to go down to GR and get his s*** together for his sake even more than the team's. The Wing's need to give him some clear expectations for improving his skills, an ultimatum and a roadmap:
