That means we're in the top 5 of teams to lose in OT - those other 3... Tampa, Toronto and Dallas...

2 of the worst teams in the NHL and another team out of playoff contention...

Florida is the only other team with 9 or more even in the top 8 playoff spots right now...

What this says? To me, it says that we need to settle down more and need more composure in crunch time *cough* 3rd period with 2 goal leads *cough* - and THIS is where leadership needs to step up...

Maybe it's time to add another vet to this squad with winning in his past...

Yeah, it's crazy to see this team be seemingly unable to hold onto a lead. After they went up by 2 I almost turned the game off (I was watching that mediocre stream) and went about my business - foolishly thinking that they'd be able to hold it. Obviously, we saw how that ended.

As always, the issue is our cap space. Everyone's favorite answer is to trade Lebda or Leino but that's like forcing through a trade you know won't go through in a video game.

Detroit flat-out sucks at playing the trap, and I cringe every time they start playing it with a lead.

Puck possession flies right out the window and they look like chickens running around with their heads cut off... it's funny because there is always a tangible moment when you see it and think, "oh s***tttt..... here it comes". Factor in that the refs always feel obligated to give the losing team a few penalties at the end of the 3rd, and the disaster delivers right on schedule.

Agreed 100% - they need to stop trying to "protect the lead" when they go up, and just keep pouring it on... keep teams on their heals and put them away...
