Cern 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 In these trying times, we must remember to always remain thankful. The hockey gods giveth, and the hockey gods taketh away; it is only with faith that we may attain hockey salvation. With that in mind, I ask you all to take out your NHL bibles from the pew in front of you and turn to page 28, and recite with me the Detroit Red Wings hockey gods prayer: Our Flames, who art in Northwest, Choking be thy game; thy season come; thy will be done, in regulation as it is in overtime. Give us each day your nightly losses. And forgive us our own two-goal chokes, as we forgive those teams that turn our goalies into sieves. And lead us not into a higher playoff seed; but save us from oblivion by thy own team's suckage. *slapshot motion* Amen. Go in peace.
CdnWingsFanEh 2 Report post Posted January 28, 2010 I must have a different nhl bible version than you. Mine is the King Bettman version. It desperately needs to be updated. Only one verse was changed: "as we forgive those teams that turn our goalies into sieves" actually reads: "as we forgive refs who disallow our goals" Peace be with you.
