The Wings are not out of the race by a long-shot. They get to verse Calgary two more times this season, and have a lot of games between our division and conference coming up. The last two months are going to be an absolute dogfight, but the Wings are still largely in control of their fate.

All very true statements. If the Wings continue to play as they have for the past two games, then their playoff chances look good. I'm still rooting for the teams around us to lose every game though.

Considering the Wings would be pretty safe in a playoff spot right now if they had won the 6 or so games they pissed away I am going to have to reiterate that the Wings hold their own destiny with how THEY play. They have proved it this entire season.

Franzen is the reason why the offense looks more dangerous and Kronwall is the reason why the defense looks good after Lids-Rafa.

Kronwall has definitely helped the defense (made some really great plays to move the puck out of the zone tonight) but Ericsson needs to get his s*** together because he is making dumbass plays that even I wouldn't dare try and pull off. Like what the hell was he trying to do before that breakaway?

Also that hooking call was so freaking obvious I yelled at the TV "Yeah don't hook him or anything Ericsson." ******* ridiculous.

It looked like Ericsson was moving up to try and play the puck and then it hopped over his stick, as it was bouncing around. Ericsson should have played it smart and played back.
