Guest Crymson Report post Posted February 14, 2010 Kronwall's contract is one of the best bargains in the league. He is extremely good. If he were a bit better in the defensive end and put on some more mass, he'd be of all-star quality.
Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted February 14, 2010 No. Kronwall is the future defensive leader when Nick Sr. retires. Is he good enough? I mean I know he's not going to be the next Lidstrom, but is he good enough to be a leading defenseman in a team who wants to win the Stanley Cup every year? RedWings Gone Wild 6 Report post Posted February 14, 2010 Is he good enough? I mean I know he's not going to be the next Lidstrom, but is he good enough to be a leading defenseman in a team who wants to win the Stanley Cup every year? Ultimately, he's good enough to be one half of a top defensive pairing. but he'll need equal or close-to-equal help from his top-line partner, unlike Lids who can elevate anyone he's paired with. We've been spoiled by having the best D-man since Orr, and that's simply not replaceable, but that doesn't mean Krons can't do a good job.
