dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted April 7, 2010 http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=35&id=65137&intcmpid=nhl-vidmod-hp Some nice saves, although they were a bit too quick to put together this list. Miller from yesterday would have made my list:
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 7, 2010 What, no Crosby shot blocks in that list? I keed, I keed... I never saw that Thomas save, that was crazy. I still can't tell if he meant to do that or just got lucky. The one by the Sens goaltender (didn't catch who it was) was even more impressive, though it seems most of those types of saves only happen because the goaltender was out of position. But it still looks awesome nonetheless.
P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted April 7, 2010 Why is number 6 (Edmonton's Deslauriers) included? The first stop was good, but he didn't save the rebound, Franzén shot it at the defenseman.

I was wondering that too. Definitely not taking away from his initial save, but the second save...well, wasn't.
BUHdactyl 23 Report post Posted April 7, 2010 Anyone else notice how about half of the top ten saves were on our Red Wings? Weak...
Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted April 7, 2010 (edited) It's weird that a lot are against the Wings, but IMO it's a compliment. You have to make great plays to force goalies to make great saves. Edited April 7, 2010 by Z and D for the C

Nero 20 Report post Posted April 8, 2010 Does anyone else think that luck plays a bigger part in most of these than skill? I mean, I understand that luck plays a role. But when you call something a "top save", it usually implies skill. I'm specifically referring to the saves where the goalie didn't catch the puck (even though those can simply be luck as well) and instead, it happens to hit their stick... And don't even get me started on #6.
